Berghaus is introducing the Cyclops III back system, featuring EVAbreathe'' Matrix Foam Technology. The Cyclops has been in the Berghaus range in one form or another for almost thirty years and from the start was designed to fulfil one key requirement - provide a durable, secure load carrying system that did not compromise on comfort.

Cyclops III takes this concept to a new dimension with the introduction of EVAbreathe''. Perforated EVA foam sheets are laminated together in an offset pattern to create a honeycomb matrix effect. Air travels through the inter-linked cavities and passes out of the edges of the back system and any areas where the body is not in direct contact with the sac. This ensures maximum air flow and moisture vapour transfer, resulting in the driest, most breathable back system available in a load carrying rucsac.

The Cyclops III also incorporates an occipital cavity for improved comfort and versatility. This takes the form of an aluminium top cross bar that curves away from the user''s head, allowing them to tilt their head back without being impeded by the frame.

There are two men''s Cyclops III sacs, the Quartz (SRP £150) at 65+10L and Graphite (£130) at 60L, and two designed for women, the Amber (£150) at 60+10L and Jade (£130) at 60L. All of the rucsacs include a host of useful features, including pre-curved hip fins and a hydration bladder pocket, and are made out of the extremely durable Ardura 1000D, Jnr Ballistic and Ardura 420 RS fabrics. Cyclops it is now more than ever a benchmark for load carrying rucsacs.
