Triglav possible without ice equipment?

My friend and I are in the area until next Thursday (June 27) and would like to hike Triglav, if at all possible. We''ve been hearing mixed reviews about the conditions, with some people saying the snow patches are a metre deep in places and impossible to cross without ice equipment.
We have via ferrata equipment, but no ice axe or crampons. Does anyone think it would be possible to hike to the summit before next Thursday?
Maybe more hot conditions and the rain might melt away the snow patches?
